What Does It Mean to Put on the Armor of God?

Ephesians 6 isn't a metaphor for passive living. It is a clear call to stand firm in an active, daily battle — clothed in truth.

The Roman soldier did not put on armor to relax; every single piece was engineered for defense, protection, and survival in the thick of the fight.

The belt of truth anchors everything. The breastplate of righteousness guards the heart. The shoes of the gospel of peace provide firm footing. The shield of faith extinguishes fiery arrows, and the helmet of salvation protects the mind.

We do not fight for victory; we fight from victory — the finished victory won by Jesus Christ on the cross.

When you get dressed each morning, you are making a conscious declaration of who protects you and where your strength lies.

STAND FIRM. SUIT UP. THE VICTORY IS ALREADY WON.

"Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes."
