100% Cotton vs. 80/20 Cotton/Poly Fleece
100% Ring-Spun Cotton
Tees & Long SleevesOur Comfort Colors C1717 tees and 6014 long sleeves are crafted from 100% natural ring-spun cotton. While garments are pre-shrunk during garment-dyeing, all natural 100% cotton fibers will experience normal residual shrinkage of approximately 3% to 5% when exposed to warm or hot wash cycles and high dryer heat.
80/20 Cotton/Poly Fleece
Crewnecks & HoodiesOur Comfort Colors 1566 crewnecks and Independent SS4500 hoodies are built with a high-density 80% ring-spun cotton and 20% polyester core. The 20% polyester interior provides superior structural dimensional stability, locking the garment silhouette and significantly resisting post-wash shrinkage.

1. Heavyweight Crewneck
Comfort Colors 1566 • 9.5 oz
Boxy, relaxed streetwear cut with dropped shoulder. The widest chest drape in our line (Size L is 25" flat / 50" circumference).
2. Streetwear Hoodie
Independent SS4500 • 8.5 oz
Standard athletic streetwear cut. Approximately 1 inch trimmer across the chest than the crewneck (Size L is 24" flat / 48" circumference).
3. Garment-Dyed Tee
Comfort Colors C1717 • 6.1 oz
Classic boxy heavyweight tee. Pre-shrunk, but 100% natural cotton fibers experience 3%–5% contraction under hot dryer heat.
4. Garment-Dyed Long Sleeve

Hypoallergenic, snug rib-knit that stretches comfortably to fit most head sizes. Length: 12" unfolded with a 3" adjustable cuff.
How to Measure Your Best-Fitting Garment
1. Chest Width (Flat)
Lay your favorite sweatshirt or tee flat on a table. Measure straight across the chest from armpit seam to armpit seam. Double this number for the full chest circumference.
2. Body Length
Measure from the highest point of the shoulder seam (next to the collar) straight down to the bottom edge of the waistband hem.
3. Sleeve Length
Measure starting from the center of the back collar, across the shoulder seam, and down the outside of the arm to the end of the wrist cuff.
